Three days ago, on September 3, we celebrated the 150th anniversary of Ferdinand Porsche’s birth.
If he hadn’t been born, we wouldn’t be here…
A fantastic day awaited us on September 6!
More than 50 stunning sports cars set off at 3:00 p.m. for a short drive from the parking lot of the Pannonhalma Porta Visitor Centre. Everyone who came to watch enjoyed a truly special sight and experience.
And, of course, the Porsche 1:18 exhibition was also open for visitors. It was wonderful :)

Porsche – Big and Small

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, anyone visiting the Pannonhalma Porta Visitor Centre can enjoy a special experience. At 10:00 a.m., the stunning Porsche sports cars, organized by the Porsche Sport Car Club Hungary, will arrive, and visitors can admire them until 2:30 p.m.
During the day, the Mátyás Porsche 1:18 Collection model exhibition will be open for individual viewing. Then, at 4:15 p.m., the owner himself, László Mátyás, will welcome visitors for a special guided tour, sharing personal stories and interesting details about one of Hungary’s largest Porsche model car collections. A unique opportunity for all car enthusiasts!

Today, a particularly enthusiastic and curious little group visited our visitor center! We were delighted to see them listening attentively to László Mátyás’s inspiring presentation. Questions poured in for the collector – and every single one was answered!

This day marked a real turning point in the history of our guided tours – a moment when everything fell into place. When the genuine curiosity, full attention, and openness of a child met the joy of sharing knowledge. Cheerful, deep, and heartfelt conversations made this day memorable for all of us.

Guided Tours of the Mátyás PORSCHE Collection

The exhibition offers a unique experience for anyone interested in cars, design, and technology. Visitors get an exceptional opportunity to learn more about the history and development of the Porsche brand up close.

For Porsche enthusiasts and model car lovers, the Mátyás Porsche Collection 1:18 is a must-see. It showcases both classic and modern Porsche models in 1:18 scale, with detailed craftsmanship. The exhibition is hosted at the Pannonhalma Porta Visitor Centre.

Opening of the Mátyás PORSCHE Collection

At one of the most special exhibitions of the ART Piknik on June 14–15, 2025, the public will be able to see the Porsche 1:18 model car collection, comprising nearly 1,200 pieces.

The exhibition, titled Mátyás PORSCHE Collection 1:18 – The Beginning, is the result of decades of passionate collecting. It not only showcases the development of one of the world’s most famous sports car brands in stunning detail, but also tells a personal story spanning generations.

The day has finally come – the collection is at its new home!
Before opening, everything was perfectly ready and in its place.
